There's an old saying that goes "45, because anything else is just silly."
Dan Coonan didn't think so. He took a dream and made it a reality: A 1911 style automatic chambered in .357 Magnum.
It rocks. Seriously. What's not to like about a .357 45? Wait...did I just say that?
It's a big pistol. I'm a big guy. Sometimes I DO pack this cannon as a daily carry pistol.
More often I open carry it in a nice holster. Still more often it graces my night stand. Even still more often it sits in the vault pining for me to come set it free again.

Seriously though, it's a well made pistol, and is one of my favorites whether at the range, or whatever. It's too bad they're out of production and prices have gone crazy.
Dan Coonan is still around.
I heard he's making 1911's again.
