AR-15A3 Flat-top

5.56mm nato

This is a great rifle. It is a home-built, civilian legal copy of the U.S. Military's M-16A4. Sort of.

It's not an exact copy, and actually it's not even close...

Mine is embellished with folding iron sights, a fluted heavy barrel, and a really cool flash hider, none of which the Gov't rifles have.

Of course, there's are made by FN, and come with the three-round burst "happy switch".

I've had very good luck with Yankee Hill Machine parts for several years now, and practically leapt out of my skin when a local dealer had this lower on sale for $99.

The lower parts kit is DPMS, and the bolt carrier group is Model 1 Sales, another manufacturer who I've had incredible good luck with. I've never had any issue with either of these companies or their products in over ten years of building and shooting home-made AR's. Tens of thousands of rounds later, their all still going. I think a lot of internet "mall commando's" bad mouth companies just because they paid more for theirs. Stroking my own ego is something I've never really needed, so as long as my rifles work when I need them, I am happy to use the most cost effective parts I can find.

Front end showing YHM Phantom flash suppressor, flutted 20" barrel, and YHM gas-block BUIS.

A.R.M.S. backup iron sight and quick detach mount for the Trijicon ACOG TA31F.
