CAR-15/22 Carbine

This is an Olympic Arms dedicated "Partner" .22 upper on my second Mega Machine lower.

The serial numbers on this and my AR15 pistol are consecutive. Woopee!

You'll note I still have my old CAR stock and buffer on it, hence the O.D. green.

Someday I'll either buy this one it's own rear end, or paint it.

I have five Blackdog Machine magazines for it, and it is a super fun plinker. I haven't touched my 10/22 since I got it!

I had to polish the ramps on the magazines when I first got them to get it to feed hollow points, but now it feeds them fine.

This is a fun and affordable alternative to today's expensive ammo. I fully recommend it to anyone with an AR.

Now there are a number of manufacturer's making them. Spikes Tactical is very popular, as is the Umarex/Colt M4.

It is amazing to me how close to the real thing this feels when shooting it.

You would expect it to be night and day, but in actuality, it's more like night and...uh...twilight.

You can clearly tell the difference in recoil, noise, and impact, but it's not as pronounced (at least for me) as you'd expect.

You shot a couple hundred rounds, and by the time you're half way through, you've forgotten the differences.

You are just concentrating on shot placement as you should be.

It's a real hoot, and I wish I still went squirrel or rabbit hunting, as this would be optimal!
